Changes they are a coming….

After many years of rocking the Thesis I’m trying something different. I’ve really liked the Thesis theme but the latest 2.0 was a bit of drastic change for me and I didn’t want to take the time to relearn the whole system just to upgrade.

As I’ve mentioned several times over the last few months I’m really focusing on simplifying. I’ve recently traded in my mac mini for a Macbook air which should relieve me of a windows based laptop. Of course I will still have my desktop on Windows but that simplifies my hardware needs to two devices instead of 4!

I know there are services and apps out there that emulate what your site would look like on different browsers and OS but I just prefer to look and test on my own.

So over the next week or so you will notice some changes at FrankDeardurff.com I’ve already switched the theme and will be modifying the content some still too.

Also I’m launching my membership site. I’m recording the walk through video this week but I’ve already opened the doors since I’ve added some training and resources in there already.

The plan is to redo many of my courses and frequent, mini training and tips videos based on members need. I’m currently working on the sales letter to really launch it and get some advertising. I’ll still sell the courses individually but members get them in the members area along with the other training’s and resources that I won’t offer outside.

I’m trying to motivate myself on the sales letter I generally over think it and am never happy with it SO in kind of a way to push myself I’ve put the page up at Internet Marketing Web Guy and started the price low as I get closer to completion I’ll raise the price a bit at a time until I reach the actual price of $37 which I feel is a pretty good price since many of my training courses have been $97 and $197 each.

I’m hoping that it will make me knock out the order page quickly šŸ˜‰

I have two of my most recent courses in the members area already – these will be redone down the road. Some courses already planned are Easy Websites 101, CSS Crash Course, An Update to Web Graphics Explained and instead of redoing one of my popular courses “WordPress Strategies” it will be an ongoing training since there is SO much to cover with WordPress and it’s ever changing possibilities.

As always I look forward to your feedback on the changes and any simplicity Ideas you want to add in the comment section.

More updates soon!

Wow, Frank, you are really cranking it out! I love the look of the blog. And your HTML newsletter was very well done!

Thanks Jeanette, hardest part for me has been “Is it good enough”. I’ve had to give up a little of the perfectionism to just get it out and then get it exact like I want. If I wait till it’s perfect I think I’ve missed the mark in the past. Obviously the html email needed some tweaks and this site not like I want it yet. but it will get there.

Thank you for commenting and the feedback I always appreciate your thoughts and you of course.
