Welcome to 2009
I had planned on writing this before the new year started but a lot has been going on in the past couple weeks.
The weekend before Christmas my youngest daughter moved back to town. Her husband is in the military and has just left for a tour of duty in Afghanistan so she moved back to Indiana to be with family while he is overseas.
The very next day my oldest daugher got married in a small chapel ceremony here in town. So I’ve been trying to spend a little time catching up with my girls and working from home for a few days to spend time with my wife.
It’s great getting to spend time with my daughters and see that they have both grown up and doing well. As you can see it was a great Christmas for me and I’m looking forward to a great new year.
I have a lot planned for the coming months and you’ll soon hear about those. Now is not the time for that, I do want to take a second to wish you all the happiness, health and wealth you deserve in the new year. I’ve always told both of my daughters growing up that anything is possible if you want it bad enough!
I hope you take the steps you need to move forward in 2009, push yourself to get to the place you want to be. Paraphrasing my good friend and mentor Armand Morin, “Determine your end result and decide what’s the next logical step you need to take to get there.” I think that is very good advice, you can’t always get to the end result in one step so work through each logical step and you will reach your goal quicker than you think.
With that being said, make 2009 the best year yet!
