A while back I wrote a post about my good friend Craig Perrine’s Book Inspired Marketing. Well as it turns out I’ve actually experienced exactly what he was talking about.
Let me explain each year I try to participate in some sort of charity that helps children. I have two healthy children (well they are adults now) and am very thankful for that which is why I try to give or help raise funds for the “March of Dimes” and or the “Muscular Dystrophy Association” (MDA).
This year I participated in the MDA Lockup – where the lock you up and you have to raise “bail” to get out. Of course the bail is the donations, and you can raise bail before you get there.
I decided that I would try to raise my bail before the event and I figured since I market online I would create a training course (WordPress Strategies) that people would receive if they donated towards my bail. Thanks to the great success in donations I was inspired to create the course. By the way I was the top fundraiser for our area and got to present the check live at our local TV broadcast.
After creating this course I had decided to create another course because this one did so well for the fundraiser. In talking with my good friend Dr. Kenny Handelman he gave me some good natured ribbing about why I would create another course if I hadn’t marketed the existing course.
So thanks to Kenny I was “Inspired” again to promote the WordPress Strategies course and had a pretty successful month in doing so. This just proves that what Craig’s Book talks about is very much true. I definitely suggest you check out “Inspired Marketing” and see how you can get inspired.
