It Is What I Am And What I Do

As my tag line says I’m an Artist and yet I’ve not posted any artwork here. Mainly because I’ve kept this site focused on marketing and online business topics. But as I say that it was my passion for art that got me to where I am today actually.

I have been drawing as far back as I can remember. Art contests in school, some of them being displayed in a museum for an exhibit. It’s just something I do. Of late, I hadn’t been drawing as much and I didn’t realize how much I’ve missed it but recently I stumbled across an art form called Zentangle which is a form of line art.

It is meant to be a relaxation technique to kind of unwind and for me, that was something I needed. I spend a lot of hours on my computers which I also enjoy but on occasion, you need a break. So, about every 90 minutes – 2 hours I take about 15 minutes and I “doodle”.

Not only has this “doodling” helped me to unwind but I’ve also noticed it’s helped my eyes to not be as tired as often. I think that is mostly because I’m refocusing at a different distance which has been beneficial as well.

I started posting some of my “doodles” to my Facebook page and friends and family have suggested that I publish them as an adult coloring book. Apparently, that is a big craze that I was not aware of. As an artist, I was humbled that they would suggest they were good enough to be published. After all, I was doing them for fun and relaxation.

This is a product I can market and have fun with and maybe even make a little money to support the habit LOL.

So, with all of that being said the image attached with this post is just one of the many I will be including in the book. It is just about ready to go to production soon and of course I will have a link added to my products page here on this site.

I think I will also start sharing a bit more of artwork, as I said it is what I am and it is what I do!
