Your Website Is More Than A Business Card

I talk to many small business owners and I have many of them question why they need a website.

I’ve heard so many of them say “well isn’t it just a glorified business card or just a digital flyer of my business”.

Well some of that “may” be true, but your website is More Than A Business Card. You can, in fact use them for those functions but there is so much more you can do with your website.

In my Amazon Kindle book “30-Minute Web Guides: Getting Started Online” I share how you things you should consider about getting started online but there are many things even existing websites don’t do that they are missing on their website.

Some of these I’ve talked in detail about before in previous blog posts but here is a quick list of other ways to benefit from having a website online.

  • Generate Customer Leads
  • Build Rapport
  • Build Credibility
  • Improve Reputation
  • Build a Following
  • Grow a Customer Prospect List
  • Provide Information
  • Make Online Sales
  • Take Online Payments
  • Provide Online Catalog

As you can see that’s just scratching the surface of what is possible. One thing that we do know is that people buy from those they know, like, and trust.

What if a customer felt that the knew you BEFORE they even walked into your physical business?

This can be done via blog posts as you are reading right now. Maybe video posts or even a podcast. Sometimes it’s a simple as providing tips for people that are curious about what you do. By providing those tips along with photos of yourself you will find that people will connect with you and start utilizing your services or products.
