Where It All Started
Where did it start?
Recently I was messaging with some friends on Facebook about how we started online.
I thought back about my first website that I had, which was an AOL homepages site that eventually I transferred over to my own domain. That was over two decades ago now. Wow!
That led to talking about building my first email list. The list was to promote my t-shirts with my 3d artwork on it. Each month I'd give away one t-shirt to the lucky winner.
I got away from that a bit as I started my website design business that grew into design, development and network consulting.
But, that being said, I've missed it and once again to add some fun to what I normally do, I am having fun creating and selling t-shirts. Not on the same deardurff.com site, that site is pretty much for genealogy. I do have a subdomain frank.deardurff.com that I use for my art, photos, and quotes, as I have time.
I'm building a new site as I now have nearly three-dozen t-shirts plus other items. That domain is franknicitees.com which currently redirects to an Etsy store while I finish out the site.
I do still enjoy building websites and helping customers improve their online business (you can find out more in my bio link), but it was graphics that started it all. Something I've ALWAYS done.
Below are a few of the latest designs - All of these are ones I've illustrated. Maybe I'll bring back the T-shirt of the month give away.
